Family Law Solicitor – Casual / Part-Time

CMK Legal is seeking an experienced Family Law Solicitor to expand its team. This is a flexible casual or part-time role working on-site, with the ability to manage family law matters autonomously from commencement through to resolution. This is an opportunity for an experienced family lawyer who is confident dealing directly with clients, providing strategic advice, negotiating outcomes and progressing matters independently.

Key responsibilities

- Independently run family law matters, including reviewing and advising on Binding Financial Agreements
- Negotiate and document property settlements, parenting and children's matters
- Appear in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia
- Manage matters from initial client consultation through to negotiation, settlement and, where required, court proceedings
- Draft and review legal documents, contracts, correspondence and court documentation
- Provide practical, commercially focused advice on family law matters

About you

- Admission to practice as a Lawyer in Australia and a current practising certificate
- Minimum 2–3 years post-admission experience, with substantial and demonstrated experience in family law
- Ability to independently run family law matters




- Strong knowledge of family law procedure
- Proficiency in drafting and reviewing legal documents, contracts, correspondence and court documentation, with robust attention to detail
- Strong advocacy, negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage files, meet deadlines and work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
- Familiarity with LEAP practice management
