A Day in the Life

n

As our Mobile Radiographer, you will:

n





Travel mostly to aged-care facilities and some private homes with a cutting edge portable X-ray unit, and portable ultrasound if dual-qualified. The equipment fits in your car, with no special van required.

n

Perform a diverse range of examinations, including chest, extremity, pelvis and more.

n

Communicate with empathy and clarity, ensuring patient comfort, dignity, and informed consent.

n

Adhere to radiation safety standards, including RANZCR and ARPANSA guidelines, infection control, privacy legislation, and QLD Radiation Health requirements.

n

Document findings, exposure factors, and QA checks, and promptly flag urgent results to the team.

n

Collaborate with ED doctors, GPs, nurses and carers to deliver patient-focused care.

What You'll Bring

n

Current AHPRA registration as a Medical Imaging Technologist, or equivalent.

n

A valid QLD Radiation Use Licence.

n

Minimum 2+ years post-qualification experience as a Radiographer. Hospital experience preferred but not essential.

n

Bonus if you're dual-qualified as a Sonographer.

n

Confidence with X-ray equipment and basic IT troubleshooting. Training will be provided on our specific systems.

n

A current open driver's licence and a reliable, insured vehicle, if choosing the travel allowance option.

n

Calm, warm, professional communication, with the ability to work autonomously while remaining a team player.

n

Willingness to obtain or provide a current Police Check, with vaccinations as required by QLD Health.

n

Experience in mobile radiography or aged care is a plus, but not essential. We'll train the right person.

n
