We are seeking an experienced Asset Management Engineer to support the development and completion of key infrastructure asset management plans within a local government environment.

This is a contract role commencing as soon as possible, with an expected duration of 3 to 6 months. The successful candidate will take ownership of both Transport and Drainage Asset Management planning projects and work closely with internal stakeholders through to adoption and implementation.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an experienced Asset Management Engineer to support the development and completion of key infrastructure asset management plans within a local government environment.

This is a contract role commencing as soon as possible, with an expected duration of 3 to 6 months. The successful candidate will take ownership of both Transport and Drainage Asset Management planning projects and work closely with internal stakeholders through to adoption and implementation.

The Role

Key responsibilities include:

- Complete the Transport Asset Management Plan covering roads, paths, bridges, rail and associated transport infrastructure
- Complete the Drainage Asset Management Plan covering urban drainage and WSUD systems
- Prepare asset management documentation, reports and supporting materials
- Deliver briefings and presentations
- Support community consultation activities associated with plan development
- Assist with the update and adoption of the Road Management Plan in collaboration with the Coordinator GIS and Asset Management
- Provide professional asset management advice relating to infrastructure planning and lifecycle management

Supplementary Project





- Investigate and develop a BMX track asset register
- Develop BMX track design guidelines and management plans
- Conduct site audits and prepare remedial action plans

What we're Looking For

Essential:

- Senior or experienced Asset Engineer background
- Demonstrated experience developing Asset Management Plans for infrastructure assets
- Strong understanding of transport infrastructure asset management, including roads, paths and associated assets
- Experience with drainage and stormwater asset management planning
- Ability to prepare reports, briefing papers and technical documentation
- Experience presenting to stakeholders and supporting consultation processes

Desirable:

- Local government asset management experience
- Experience with WSUD systems
- Knowledge of road management planning requirements
- Experience managing multiple infrastructure asset classes
