An established food manufacturing business is seeking an experienced dual-trade Maintenance Technician to join its permanent night-shift team. This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically and mechanically qualified tradesperson looking for a stable roster, highly competitive earnings and varied work across modern, fast-paced production equipment.

- Base rate of $55–$65 per hour, depending on experience
n
- 30% night-shift loading
n
- Potential loaded rate of up to $84.50 per hour
n
- Permanent Sunday-to-Thursday roster
n
- Hours of 11:00 pm–7:00 am
n
- Consistent work within an established manufacturing operation
n
- Broad exposure to electrical, mechanical and automated equipment
n
- Supportive maintenance and production teams
n

The role
n
Working as part of the site maintenance team, you will help maintain production reliability and minimise downtime across the facility.
n
n
- Electrical and mechanical fault‐finding
n
- Planned and preventative maintenance
n
- Responding to breakdowns and production issues
n
- Maintaining conveyors, motors, gearboxes,
pumps and production machinery
n
- Troubleshooting sensors, control systems and automated equipment
n
- Supporting continuous‐improvement and reliability initiatives
n
- Completing maintenance records and communicating equipment issues
n
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with site procedures
n
n
About you
n
n
- Recognised electrical and mechanical trade qualifications
n
- A current NSW electrical licence
n
- Previous maintenance experience within food, beverage, FMCG, packaging or another high-volume manufacturing workplace
n
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault‐finding skills
n
- Experience working with automated production and conveyor systems
n
- A proactive approach to preventative maintenance
n
- The ability to work independently on permanent night shift
n
- Strong safety awareness and communication skills
n
n
Experience with PLC fault‐finding, pneumatics, hydraulics and high-speed packaging equipment would be highly regarded.
