About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Salesperson who specialises in pool care to join the team at Pumps and Pipeline Services in Muswellbrook, NSW. This is a full-time position based at our retail location. As a Pool Shop Salesperson, you will be the face of our business, providing expert advice and exceptional service to customers seeking pool products, equipment and solutions.

This role is integral building customer relationships and contributing to the success of our retail operation.

Key responsibilities

- Greet customers warmly and assess their pool-related needs and requirements
- Provide knowledgeable advice on pool products, equipment, chemicals and maintenance solutions
- Demonstrate products effectively and explain features, benefits and usage instructions
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system
- Maintain a clean, well-organised and visually appealing shop floor and product displays
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management and restocking
- Handle customer enquiries professionally, seeking to resolve issues satisfactorily
- Achieve individual and team sales targets whilst maintaining excellent customer service standards
- Stay informed about product ranges, pricing and current promotions to provide accurate information
- Build lasting customer relationships to encourage repeat business and customer loyalty

What we're looking for

- Previous retail or customer service experience, preferably in a pool, hardware or similar product-focused environment or experience caring for your own pool.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage customers of all backgrounds
- A genuine enthusiasm for products and a willingness to learn about pool equipment and maintenance




- Excellent numeracy skills and the ability to handle cash and process transactions accurately
- Reliable, punctual and committed to maintaining high standards of professionalism
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment
- Problem-solving skills and a customer-first approach to addressing enquiries and concerns
- Physical capability to handle stock, including lifting and moving products of varying weights
- Preferably, knowledge of pool maintenance, chemistry or pool industry experience would be advantageous
