About the role

Gwandalan Summerland Medical is seeking a Practice Nurse to join our friendly and professional healthcare team on a casual basis. This role is based at our practice in Gwandalan, NSW 2259. As a Practice Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering quality patient care and supporting our GPs in providing comprehensive healthcare services to our community.

This position offers flexibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives whilst maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Key responsibilities

- Assisting GPs with clinical procedures and examinations
- Taking patient histories and recording vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, and weight
- Administering vaccinations and immunisations in accordance with current guidelines
- Providing patient education on health conditions and preventative health measures
- Managing wound care, dressing changes, and minor injury treatment
- Supporting chronic disease management programmes and follow-up care
- Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records
- Ensuring the clinical environment is clean, safe, and well-stocked with necessary supplies
- Contributing to the smooth operation of the practice through effective teamwork

What we're looking for

- Current registration with the AHPRA
- Qualification as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Endorsed Enrolled Nurse (EEN)
- Immunisation provider status or willingness to obtain this qualification
- Strong clinical knowledge and practical nursing skills




- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced primary care setting
- Commitment to patient confidentiality and qualified standards
- Experience in general practice nursing or primary healthcare is highly desirable
- Reliability and flexibility with casual shift availability
