GC Shine is a Gold Coast pressure washing and soft washing business. We've been cleaning for just over a year now: roofs, houses, driveways, fences, solar panels and windows.

This is the first permanent hire that the business has made. You'll be trained one-on-one by the owner, you'll learn the whole job properly, and as the work grows there's a clear path to more days, higher pay and commission on upsells.

What you'll actually be doing

- Soft washing tile and metal roofs, house exteriors, eaves and gutters
- High-pressure cleaning driveways, paths, patios and fences
- Cleaning solar panels, gutters and windows as part of a job
- Setting up and packing down the wash trailer — hoses, reels, chemical, water
- Mixing and applying cleaning chemicals safely and to the right ratios
- Working at heights on residential roofs, safely and with the right gear
- Talking to customers on site — a friendly walk-around at the start and a quick walk-through at the end

The hours Similar to most trades, this is a casual job, and hours are dependant on work coming in, however expect around 3+ days of work per week. With the aim to grow to full time work within a couple months. Most days we'll be on site at 8am, finishing mid-to-late afternoon depending on the job.

If you need it to fit around another commitment we can work with that, but ideally you're after something that builds into full-time, because that's the direction this role is heading.

The business takes a short break over Christmas and Current Year — roughly the week before Christmas to the week after new years.

Who this suits

- You're comfortable on a roof and not fazed by heights
- You don't mind getting wet and dirty; you take pride in the before-and-after




- You're reliable. You turn up when you say you will, on time, every time
- You can follow a process for each job
- You're presentable and easy to talk to; you'll be at people's homes representing the business
- You want to stick around and get good at something, not just fill a gap for six weeks

What you'll need

- Current Australian driver's licence and own reliable vehicle
- Living in or near Tweed — we start from there and you need to be close
- Physically fit enough for a full day of ladder work, hose dragging and roof access
- Ongoing, unrestricted work rights in Australia — because of the training we put in, we can't consider applicants whose work rights are capped to a fixed period with one employer

Nice to have, but we'll train you

- A towbar on your vehicle — for the right person, we'll pay to have one fitted
- Working at Heights ticket, White Card — we'll cover these for the right person
- Any experience in cleaning, landscaping, roofing, labouring, gardening or trades

What you get

- $35 – $40 per hour depending on experience

- All equipment, chemicals and PPE provided
- Proper one-on-one training on high-value gear
- Commission on upsells once you're trained and confident
- Increasing hours as the business grows, and eventually running a crew
