ROLE

Reporting to the GM Finance, the role of Procurement Manager is to focus on delivering value and mitigating risks across Direct categories whilst playing a critical role in evolving the function to become a true business partner by delivering commercial impact, innovation, sustainability, and resilience across the supply base.

Working closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Commercial, Technical, Quality and R&D; teams, the Procurement Manager provides practical procurement support to enable continuity of supply, cost control, accurate data, timely escalation of issues and effective execution of approved procurement activities.

We are looking for an individual who is capable of tackling the day to day responsibilities of Procurement whilst having an eye on the future strategy of delivering value to the business. This role does not just focus on the bottom line, it requires someone who can look outside of the box for solutions on design, sustainability and innovation, to ultimately deliver better value to the consumer whilst also ensuring long term security of these key commodities.

Specifically, you will:

- Run end to end sourcing events including market analysis, RFx documentation creation, evaluation, negotiation, selection and contract implementation




- Execute buying activities across all Direct categories
- Manage a pipeline of initiatives across productivity, innovation, sustainability, and risk mitigation. Lead cross-functional teams to implement and track outcomes
- Build strong internal relationships with stakeholders to ensure maximum efficiency on both the internal and supply side, particularly with R&D; and Commercial
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the business is maximising value, not only through cost reduction, but also through new products and initiatives

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

We are looking for a person who is energetic, dynamic and happy to get their hands dirty whilst being able to look at the bigger picture and adapt with a changing environment. This business is investing in its technologies and processes, so someone who is interested in AI and process improvements in the purchasing landscape will thrive. We want a go getter! Specifically we are looking for:

- At least 5 years’ procurement experience specifically within a Packaging, Chemical manufacturing, Co Manufacturing or FMCG industry preferably
- Direct Materials and/or Packaging procurement category experience, specialising in commodities related to packaging a preference
- Strong networking, communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
- Understanding of business function purposes and strong ability to lead groups of cross-functional stakeholders
- Demonstrated supplier management skills, with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders
- Good negotiation and communication skills
- SAP or Similar ERP system experience preferred
- Solid Excel knowledge
