An exciting chance has arisen in a growing Technical Services team, working on an established and expanding underground mining operation.
n Reporting to the Senior Geotechnical Engineer, this role will see you providing geotechnical support across an active underground operation, with the opportunity to be involved in exciting development and growth as the site ramps up towards full production.

Key Responsibilities

- Geotechnical mapping, core logging and data collection
n
- Monitoring, analysing and reporting on ground conditions
n
- Ground support design and review for underground development and production areas
n
- Installation and interpretation of geotechnical monitoring instrumentation
n
- Providing geotechnical input into mine design and scheduling
n
- Contributing to the Ground Control Management Plan
n
- Liaising with mine planning, geology and operations teams
n
- Ensuring compliance with relevant safety legislation and site standards
n

About You
n
n
- Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical, Mining, Geological Engineering or related discipline
n
- 2 to 6 years geotechnical engineering experience, underground exposure highly regarded
n
- Proficiency with geotechnical/mining software (e.g. Deswik, Datamine, RS2/RS3, Map3D)
n
- Strong analytical and communication skills
n
- A genuine commitment to safety
