Senior Financial Accountant - 14mths FTC A rare opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join a listed, multinational resources business on a 14‑month fixed‑term contract. This role provides meaningful responsibility, autonomy, and exposure to international operations across Australia, and the US.
About the Role Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you will support monthly financial reporting, statutory compliance, reconciliations, general ledger integrity and audit preparation. You’ll contribute to the accuracy and timeliness of Group reporting obligations in line with IFRS/AASB requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
Preparing and completing monthly financial statements
Completing and reviewing monthly P&L; and Balance Sheet reconciliations
Maintaining the general ledger and Fixed Asset Register
Ensuring all reports and work papers are complete, accurate and clearly referenced
Assisting auditors with statutory account audits
Producing and analysing ad‑hoc financial information
Supporting international financial projects as required
Contributing to finance policies, procedures and continuous improvement initiatives
Strengthening internal controls and minimising audit adjustments
Acting as a valued finance business partner across the organisation
About You You are a technically strong Senior Financial Accountant with solid experience in financial/statutory accounting,
ideally within a listed or multinational group.
You will bring:
A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or Commerce (CA/CPA preferred)
Strong working knowledge of IFRS/AASB
Experience with month‑end reporting and Balance Sheet reconciliation processes
Exposure to multi‑entity or multi‑currency consolidation (advantageous)
Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, ONESOURCE or similar)
Advanced Excel skills
High attention to detail and robust organisational capability
Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills
Availability to commence in October 2026 and commit to the full contract term
Experience in corporate, project‑based or resources/energy/infrastructure environments
