About the Role

Enerbyte is seeking a full time Procurement Specialist to support its growing portfolio of solar and battery energy storage system projects.

The position is suited to an analytical procurement professional who can collect, organise and analyse complex supplier, market, cost and project information and translate the findings into practical recommendations for management. The role focuses on procurement analysis, sourcing strategy, supplier evaluation, risk assessment and the review and improvement of procurement systems and organisational procedures.

The Procurement Specialist will work closely with Enerbyte’s project development and engineering teams, as well as external suppliers of photovoltaic modules, inverters, battery systems, mounting structures and balance-of-plant equipment and services.

Key Responsibilities

· Collect, organise and maintain procurement information for solar and battery energy storage projects, including supplier records, quotations, pricing, lead times, contract terms and project cost data, ensuring the information is accurate and readily accessible.

· Research and analyse market information relating to photovoltaic modules, inverters, battery systems,



mounting structures and other major project equipment, including pricing trends, supply capacity, delivery conditions and technical compliance.

· Analyse project procurement requirements and develop evidence-based sourcing strategies for major solar and battery equipment, taking into account technical specifications, supplier capability, total cost, delivery schedules, warranty terms and supply-chain risks.

· Evaluate supplier and subcontractor tenders through structured comparisons of cost, quality, delivery capability, warranty terms, technical suitability and regulatory compliance, and prepare written recommendations for management.

· Analyse project expenditure and procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities, supply risks and variances against approved budgets, and present the findings in regular reports.

· Design and maintain procurement information frameworks, supplier evaluation tools, cost comparison models and reporting systems to support consistent and evidence-based decision-making across Enerbyte’s project portfolio.

· Develop and maintain procurement policies, templates and standard operating procedures, and advise project teams on their correct application.

· Monitor supplier performance and contractual obligations, maintain a supplier risk register and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies for supply-chain issues that may affect project costs or delivery schedules.

· Assess suppliers and products against applicable Australian regulatory, technical and industry requirements,



including Clean Energy Council approved product listings, relevant Australian Standards, responsible sourcing requirements and modern slavery supply-chain risks.

· Liaise with project development, engineering, construction and finance teams to align procurement plans with project specifications, delivery milestones, grid connection timelines, approved budgets and cash-flow requirements.

· Prepare briefing papers, procurement dashboards, market analysis reports and supplier performance reports to support management planning and decision-making.

Qualification and Experience Requirements

· At least one year of relevant professional experience in procurement analysis, strategic sourcing, supplier evaluation, business process analysis or a closely related role.

· Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret supplier, cost, market and project information and translate the findings into practical recommendations.

· Demonstrated ability to prepare clear reports, briefing papers, comparative analyses and written recommendations for management.

· Experience in reviewing business processes and developing procurement procedures, templates, policies or standard operating procedures.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data management or enterprise resource planning systems. Experience using data visualisation and reporting tools will be highly regarded.

· Sound understanding of tender evaluation, supplier assessment, strategic sourcing and contract management principles.

· Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with technical, commercial and financial stakeholders.

· Knowledge of the Australian renewable energy sector, including solar and battery supply chains and applicable compliance requirements, is desirable.

Pay: $80,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
