Procurement Operations Manager | 12-Month Contract

This isn’t a role where you’ll be stepping into a perfectly polished procurement function and simply keeping things ticking along.

Our client has recently implemented Workday and is looking for an experienced Procurement Operations skilled to come in, understand what isn’t working, and make it better.

This is a leadership role reporting directly to the Head of Procurement, working with a genuinely lovely and supportive team. You’ll have the opportunity to take ownership, make decisions and have a real impact on how the function operates. The role will also work across the Sydney procurement team and an outsourced Procurement Operations team in India.

The initial focus will be on AP and Procure-to-Pay — getting underneath the issues, improving processes, reducing invoice exceptions and manual workarounds, improving supplier payments and putting the right processes and controls in place.

It’s a genuinely hands-on role. You’ll work closely across Procurement, Finance, Operations and IT,



taking ownership of the remediation program and turning the current environment into something that works well day to day. Once AP is stabilised, the remit will broaden into Procurement Operations and wider continuous improvement.

We’re looking for someone with strong AP/P2P experience who has been involved in remediation, transformation or ERP-enabled process improvement. Just as importantly, you’ll be someone who can build relationships, influence stakeholders and bring people with you while getting things done.

Workday experience would be fantastic, but it’s not essential.
