About the Role

As a Production Planner, you will be responsible for coordinating and maintaining production schedules, balancing manufacturing capacity, material availability, and customer priorities. Your ability to analyse data, anticipate constraints, and communicate effectively across departments will be essential in ensuring production targets are achieved safely, efficiently, and on time.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain detailed production schedules across transformer manufacturing operations.
- Coordinate production activities to meet customer delivery requirements and business objectives.
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules in response to changing priorities and operational constraints.
- Work closely with Procurement and Supply Chain teams to ensure material availability.
- Collaborate with Production Supervisors, Test Bay personnel, Engineering, and Dispatch teams to optimise workflow and throughput.
- Identify and manage manufacturing bottlenecks and capacity constraints.
- Track and report key performance indicators including schedule adherence,



on-time delivery, and work-in-progress levels.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving planning accuracy and manufacturing efficiency.
- Participate in daily and weekly production planning meetings.

About You You are a highly organised professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys solving complex scheduling challenges.

Essential Requirements

- Experience in production planning, scheduling, manufacturing operations, or supply chain planning.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems.
- Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Desirable

- Experience within transformer manufacturing, electrical equipment manufacturing, heavy industry, or project-based manufacturing.
- Understanding of capacity planning, inventory management, and production control principles.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
