Project Engineer – Civil Construction

Talent Advisory is excited to be supporting our long term business partner, DCS Civil, in the recruitment of an experienced Project Engineer to join their Hobart based operations.

Having worked alongside DCS Civil for a number of years, we know this is a genuine opportunity to join an established Tasmanian civil contractor delivering a diverse range of projects, including niche and specialised civil works.

The Role

This is a hands on position with involvement across the full delivery of projects. You will work closely with the Directors, Project Managers and Supervisors to coordinate works, manage project requirements and help keep projects moving.

Responsibilities will include:

- Project coordination and supporting project delivery
- Quality assurance, documentation and compliance
- Managing project programs, milestones and timeframes
- Working closely with site Supervisors and operational teams
- Client, contractor and stakeholder management
- Project reporting and documentation
- Assisting with variations and other commercial aspects of projects
- Identifying and resolving issues throughout project delivery
- Supporting the management team to achieve project outcomes

About You

We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer with a strong understanding of civil construction and the practical realities of delivering projects on the ground.

You will be organised, confident dealing with different stakeholders and comfortable moving between technical requirements, site operations and project coordination.

Ideally, you will have:





- Previous Project Engineer experience within civil construction
- Relevant engineering qualifications
- Strong QA and project documentation experience
- Experience managing project programs and timeframes
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to develop effective working relationships with site Supervisors
- Valuable commercial awareness
- A practical approach to problem solving and project delivery
