Project Supervisor – Kwinana | 18-Month Fixed Term

APMS Operations Australia Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Project Supervisor with a strong trade background to join our team at a local lithium mining and refining operation in Kwinana Beach.

The Role

You will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision and delivery of site works, ensuring projects and shutdown scopes are completed safely, efficiently, on time and to a high standard. This is an 18-month fixed-term position, with the possibility of ongoing full-time employment for the right person.

Roster

Monday to Friday | 12-hour shifts

Weekend work will be required during shutdowns and periods of increased activity.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct daily pre-starts, toolbox meetings and safety briefings.
- Supervise and lead multi-disciplinary site teams.
- Implement daily, weekly and monthly work plans.
- Coordinate labour, equipment, materials, consumables and specialist tools.
- Monitor project and shutdown scopes, progress, manning and resource requirements.
- Ensure works comply with site policies, procedures, OH&S; and quality requirements.
- Conduct and oversee field inspections, verifications and NDT requirements.
- Ensure project documentation and work records are completed accurately.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Identify and resolve issues to maintain project progress.
- Promote a positive, accountable and high-performance team culture.
- Address non-conformance and implement corrective actions
- Promote safe work practices and ensuring compliance with company HSE policies.
- Take lead and participate in the development of risk assessment including Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS) as required prior to execution




- Preparation of material take-offs (MTO's) as require for each project including material sourcing for best price and lead time, raising purchase orders and coordinating with vendor to track delivery aligned with the site schedule
- Review scopes of work, client specification and relevant standards to ensure compliance with project requirements i.e. Drawings, ITP, WPS., PQR, Welder Qualifications, NDT
- Collate all project quality documentation for project close-out including as-built drawings, NDT reports, signed ITP and compile into Manufacturers Data Report (MDR) based on company standard template
- Liaise with client, internal team and any third-party providers including attending project meetings, provide updates, forecasting and any technical or commercial queries

About You We are looking for a practical, hands-on Supervisor with proven experience leading teams in an industrial, mining, maintenance, fabrication or shutdown environment.

You will have

- Previous experience as a Project Supervisor, Site Supervisor or similar role.
- A trade background in welding, boilermaking, mechanical or a related discipline.
- An Australian-recognised trade certificate in welding, boilermaking, mechanical or a related trade is highly regarded.
- Experience managing projects, shutdowns or complex scopes of work.
- Strong people leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent planning, organisation and time management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Knowledge of NDT testing and inspection.
- Exposure to various welding techniques and exotic materials.
- A strong commitment to safety, quality and project delivery.
