About the opportunity: We are looking for a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to join the team at our Beverage Can plant based in Yatala, QLD. This isn't a traditional warehouse role. You'll be working in a quick-paced can manufacturing environment, spending most of your day on a counterbalance forklift and keeping materials moving to support production.
Shift Details: Day shift only – 8-hour shifts (6am to 2pm)
What you'll do:
Operate a counterbalance forklift for the majority of the shift, including long tines when required
Unload large aluminium coils from trucks at the front end of site
Load scrap metal containers
Run production bins to and from the manufacturing lines
Move dangerous goods, including acid, safely by forklift in line with site procedures
Assist with packaging and support operators where needed
What You Will Bring:
Valid Forklift Licence (LF)
Solid counterbalance forklift experience
Experience operating a 16-tonne forklift highly regarded (not essential)
Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment desirable
