About the opportunity An underwater inspections company is looking for a motivated Trade Assistant to join our growing specialist inspection team.

This isn't your typical Trade Assistant role.

You'll work with modern underwater ROV technology while assisting with the inspection and maintenance of critical water infrastructure. For the right person, there is a genuine pathway into commercial drone operations, remote inspection technology, further training and specialist licences.

We are based on the Gold Coast, with the majority of our current work throughout Brisbane and surrounding areas. Occasional regional and interstate travel and overnight stays will be required.

What you'll be doing

Assisting with underwater ROV inspections of tanks and water infrastructure.

Assisting with tank inspections, maintenance and associated field works.

Working safely at heights on industrial water infrastructure.

Setting up, operating and caring for specialist inspection equipment.

Working on commercial, industrial and government sites.

Assisting with mobilisation, equipment preparation and site setup.

Following site-specific safety procedures, SWMS and client requirements.

Learning specialist inspection technology and progressively taking on greater responsibility.

Potential future involvement in commercial drone and remote inspection operations.

What we're looking for Attitude, reliability and willingness to learn are more important to us than having every ticket on day one.

Comfortable and confident working at heights – essential.

Reliable, punctual and someone who takes pride in their work.





Motivated and interested in building a long‑term position.

Mechanically and practically minded, with confidence using tools.

Interested in technology and keen to learn new equipment and systems.

Able to follow instructions and progressively develop the ability to work independently.

Qualified around clients and respectful on commercial and government sites.

Physically capable of undertaking hands‑on field work.

Willing and able to travel away from home occasionally.

Available for early starts when projects require them.

Able to pass drug and alcohol testing where required by clients or sites.

Safety-conscious and able to follow established procedures.

Current Australian driver's license.

Working at Heights ticket: highly regarded, although training can be provided to the right applicant. Other relevant construction, safety, access or industry tickets are advantageous.
