Mt Derrimut Golf and Community Club is a Craig Parry 18-hole Par 72 Championship Golf Course situated 15km west of Melbourne's CBD, designed to complement the historic significance of the site. The clubhouse incorporates the farm homestead built in 1883 with many of the original buildings of the past being retained and used by the club.

Mt Derrimut Golf & Community Club is seeking an experienced and motivated Turf Professional to join our greenkeeping team. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working outdoors and has a genuine interest in turf management and golf course presentation.

Working alongside our experienced greenkeeping team, you will play an important role in the daily maintenance, presentation and ongoing improvement of the golf course. You will have the opportunity to contribute to maintaining quality playing surfaces while helping deliver a course that our members and guests can enjoy.

Key responsibilities

Prepare and present the golf course for daily play, including mowing, bunker preparation, course set-up and changing hole locations

Undertake turf pest and weed control activities under the direction of the Course Superintendent and leadership team





Maintain greenkeeping machinery and equipment to a high standard

Assist with irrigation management, maintenance and upcoming system upgrades

Assist with course renovations, projects and ongoing course improvements

Carry out general turf maintenance duties to ensure the course is presented to a high standard

Work as part of a team to achieve daily maintenance goals and course presentation standards

About you You will ideally have:

A formal greenkeeping or turf management qualification, or be close to completing one

Experience working effectively as part of a team

A strong work ethic and attention to detail

A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn and embrace new practices

An interest in modern turf management practices, technology and course improvement

Previous experience with irrigation systems and chemical application will be highly regarded but is not essential

Valid Australian work rights or an appropriate work visa
