What we're looking for

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

Demonstrates clinical knowledge and expertise relevant to the delivery of evidence-based psychology services to patients at The Park Centre for Mental Health. Domains of assessment include cognitive / neuropsychological, emotional, behavioural, personality, psychopathology, and risk, involving the application of standardised psychology tools as well as clinical judgement. Implementation and evaluation of psychological therapies and interventions, based on solid psychological assessment and formulation.

Demonstrates ability to provide effective verbal and written communication to patients, members of the Psychology team, multi-disciplinary team members, and others involved in the provision of services to patients.

Demonstrates ability to actively contribute to the development and implementation of service improvement activities, including clinically relevant research.



Ability to identify limitations of own skilled skills and seek clinical guidance and supervision as appropriate. Demonstrates commitment to one's own professional development through clinical supervision, advanced training, and active participation in performance evaluation.

Demonstrates willingness to develop competency to supervise students and / or less experienced clinicians.

Demonstrates honesty, integrity, and respect for all patient, carers and staff. Demonstrates knowledge of and practices within relevant professional and ethical guidelines.

Mandatory Requirements

Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16

Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association within Australia.
