James Skewes Electrical is looking for an experienced, fully qualified electrician to join our small team.

We specialise in high-end new homes, renovations, commercial fit-outs, electrical maintenance and home automation. We're a growing business and are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, is reliable and wants to be part of a positive team.

We aren't trying to be the biggest electrical company around. We focus on doing quality work, looking after our clients and giving our team a good work environment.

The Role

You'll be working across a mix of residential and small commercial projects. You'll have the opportunity to run jobs from start to finish with support and will deal directly with builders, homeowners and other clients.

The work will include

- First and second fix electrical work
- High-end recent homes and renovations
- Small commercial fit-outs
- Fault finding and problem solving
- Home automation, data and security
- Working directly with builders, homeowners and businesses
- Running jobs and organising materials
- Mentoring and supporting apprentices
- Using job management software to keep jobs organised and records up to date
- Making sure work is completed safely and to Australian Standards

There's plenty of variety in the work, and we try to avoid the same repetitive work day in, day out.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

- Is fully qualified and licensed to work in South Australia
- Has good experience in domestic residential electrical work
- Can work independently and is comfortable running jobs
- Has a good work ethic and takes pride in their workmanship
- Is reliable, organised and works efficiently
- Has good communication skills and is comfortable dealing with customers and builders




- Can problem solve and come up with practical solutions
- Is happy to help mentor apprentices
- Has a current Australian driver's licence and can drive a manual vehicle
- Has a White Card

Experience with home automation, data and security would be an advantage, but isn't essential.
