Job Description

An opportunity has become available for a Financial Accountant to join an established resources business in Brisbane.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a broad role offering a great mix of financial accounting, management accounting and commercial exposure. You'll be involved across month-end, statutory reporting, budgeting and forecasting, compliance and process improvement.

This would be a great next step for a first mover from public practice or a CA / CPA qualified accountant with around 2 – 4 years' commercial experience who is looking for a role where they can continue to develop and broaden their experience.

The Role

n

n
- Month-end reporting, journals, reconciliations and variance analysis;
n
- Preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, including ownership of the model;
n
- Statutory financial statements and support with external audit;
n
- BAS and compliance reporting;
n
- AASB16 schedules and reporting;
n
- General ledger integrity and reconciliations;
n
- Exposure to commercial and sales activities; and
n
- Identifying and implementing system and process improvements.

About You

You'll be CA / CPA qualified, commercially minded and keen to keep learning. You'll bring strong Excel and analytical skills, excellent attention to detail and the confidence to work with stakeholders across the business.
