Double R & S Painters Pty Ltd (trading as DRS Painters), ABN 48 620 781 562, is a Brisbane-based painting business looking for an experienced Painter to join our team at our Mansfield workshop and on client sites across the Brisbane region.
About the role
You will deliver quality interior and exterior finishes on residential and commercial projects, working from initial site set-up through to final clean-up, on your own and as part of a crew.
Duties and responsibilities
• Set up work areas, including scaffolding and ladders, and protect floors, fittings and neighbouring surfaces from paint and dust
• Prepare surfaces by stripping old coatings, repairing timber, filling cracks and holes, sanding, and sealing or priming as needed
• Choose and mix paints, stains, varnishes and tinting additives to achieve the required colour and consistency
• Apply paints, varnishes and other coatings by brush, roller and spray equipment
• Hang wallpaper,



matching patterns and trimming edges cleanly
• Carry out minor repairs to timber window frames, and where required, minor tiling repairs
• Clean, maintain and store tools and equipment, and leave sites tidy and safe
Skills and experience required
• Certificate III in Painting and Decorating or equivalent
• At least 2 years' relevant experience as a painter
• Valuable knowledge of surface preparation and coating systems
• Ability to read job instructions, work to deadlines and maintain a high standard of finish
• Valid driver's licence and reliable transport preferred
• White Card (construction induction) required, or willingness to obtain one before starting
Salary and conditions
Full-time, permanent. Annual salary of AUD$ 81,000 plus superannuation
