About the Role As the first point of contact for patients and healthcare providers, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the clinic while helping create a welcoming, supportive, and efficient environment for patients undergoing neurological care.
You will work closely with the neurologist, Practice Manager, and healthcare team in a busy but supportive specialist environment where your contribution is genuinely valued and appreciated.
Essential Criteria
Minimum 2 years’ experience as a medical receptionist within a healthcare or specialist medical setting
Strong computer and administration skills
Experience with patient booking and practice management software (experience with Xestro PMS is highly regarded)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
Ability to work efficiently and calmly within a fast-paced clinical environment
Flexibility to assist with leave coverage when required

Key Responsibilities
Providing professional and compassionate customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
Managing appointments, phone enquiries, emails, and patient communications
Coordinating patient bookings and clinic schedules accurately and efficiently
Processing invoicing, receipting, and administrative documentation
Preparing clinics and patient files ahead of consulting sessions
Supporting doctors and the Practice Manager with administrative and operational duties
Liaising with referring doctors, allied health professionals, and external stakeholders
Maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and an organised reception environment
