Maxwell Recruitment is currently seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to work across a range of industrial sites throughout Wollongong and the Illawarra, with the majority of work based at BlueScope Steel.

The Role
n
Your duties may include:
n
n
- Completing planned and preventative mechanical maintenance
n
- Attending breakdowns and diagnosing mechanical faults
n
- Repairing and replacing bearings, pumps, gearboxes, rollers and conveyor components
n
- Maintaining fixed plant and heavy industrial machinery
n
- Completing equipment installations and mechanical upgrades
n
- Removing, repairing and reinstalling mechanical components
n
- Completing precision fitting, alignment and assembly work
n
- Completing isolations and following site LOTO procedures
n
n
About You
n
n
- Australian-recognised Mechanical Fitter trade qualification
n
- Previous experience in heavy industrial maintenance
n
- Construction White Card
n
- Current driver's licence and reliable transport
n
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills
n
- A reliable attitude and commitment to secure work practices
n
