Full Time Nanny/Housekeeper Hawthorne Brisbane

Start Date: Friday 2nd October 2026 (Handover day ahead of official start)

Driving: Essential - ideally with their own car

We are seeking a happy, positive, and reliable Nanny / Housekeeper for a busy professional family based in Hawthorne. Both parents are surgeons with early starts and variable schedules, making a dependable and organised nanny a key part of their household.

The family includes a bubbly 10-year-old girl and an active 7-year-old boy. The children are well-accustomed to nannies, polite, non-picky eaters, and have no allergies or special needs. This role is ideal for a proactive candidate who enjoys interacting with school-aged children, maintains clear boundaries, and can manage daily household duties efficiently.

The Role & Schedule

4 days per week
Typically Monday through Thursday (with Fridays mostly off).
30 hours per week
Hours are between 7:00am to 6:30pm
Middle-of-the-day hours free
offer flexibility for house management duties (can be completed post-morning drop-off or prior to afternoon pick-up).
Ability to work additional hours during school holiday periods may be required.

Duties

Handling school drop-offs and pick-ups (particularly for the 7-year-old) and driving to afternoon activities (swimming, soccer, basketball, etc.).
Preparing and cooking healthy, balanced daily breakfasts and dinners for the children.




Managing daily family laundry (washing, drying, folding, and putting away children’s clothes).
Ironing school uniforms and changing children’s bed sheets weekly.
Keeping the kitchen clean, tidy, and organized (benches, dishwasher, meal prep cleanup).
The family have a weekly cleaner.

Located in Hawthorne, close to local schools, parks, and ferry transport. A warm, respectful household environment where nannies are valued as key family members.

Requirements

We are looking for an organised and reliable nanny with excellent communication skills. Valid driver's licence with a robust driving record.
Up-to-date immunisations (essential).
Strong time-management skills to balance childcare and household tasks seamlessly.
