Do you have experience in land management and a passion for nature-based recreation and an outdoor lifestyle? Are you looking for a challenging and rewarding career? We are currently seeking a new team member to join and our small team of rangers at the Moonford work unit (Monto) to manage National Parks and State Forests within the North Burnett and Gladstone regional council areas.

As a WOO4 Ranger you will work under the direction of the Ranger in Charge to assist with the supervision of staff and coordinate the planning and delivery of weekly work programs across Queensland Parks and Wildlife protected area estates.

One key focus area involves management of Kroombit Tops National Park with a strong emphasis on protection for critically endangered species including the Kroombit tinkerfrog, Kroombit treefrog and monteiths spiny crayfish. To achieve these goals rangers are undertaking extensive programs of pest, weed and fire management.
