Salary: From $86,178 + 12% Superannuation + applicable penalty rates

Purpose

To implement Council’s regulatory functions and services and provide quality,



customer focused regulatory and enforcement services and activities

About the role

- Effectively and efficiently implement Council's regulatory functions and services
- Assess compliance with regulations and take appropriate enforcement action with relevant legislations
- Issue Fines, directions, or other regulatory action
- Negotiate, mediate, and effectively resolve complex and sensitive matters
- Investigate alleged breaches of legislation and regulatory requirements, and
- Prepare statements of evidence and represent Council in court, where required
- Prepare and maintain accurate and detailed reports and up-to-date file notes, memorandums and correspondence
