Reception Centre ManagerAustralian Age of Dinosaurs Museum of Natural History | Winton, Queensland The Australian Age of Dinosaurs Museum of Natural History is seeking an experienced Reception Centre Manager to join our team in Winton, Queensland.

This is a key management position responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Museum’s visitor-facing services. The role oversees the Reception Centre, visitor programs, accommodation, Cafés and Shops, while supporting customer service, staff development, rostering and broader Museum operations.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Museum and Management Team to ensure our visitor operations are efficient, well coordinated and consistently deliver a high standard of customer service. The role also involves managing bookings and events, accommodation, retail and café operations, and supporting staff training and development.

We are seeking a person with strong organisational and communication skills, sound customer-service experience and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy tourism environment. Experience in tourism, hospitality, retail, events,



visitor services or a related field would be highly regarded.

The position requires flexibility to work within a seven-day tourism operation, including weekends and public holidays, particularly during the Museum’s peak season.

Position details

Location: Winton, Queensland

Position: Full time, fixed-term

Salary: $70,000–$85,000 per annum, depending on experience

Superannuation: In accordance with legal requirements

Relocation assistance: Up to $1,500 including GST, subject to the conditions outlined in the position description

Training and development: Annual allowance of up to $2,000 + GST after one year, subject to approval

Australian Age of Dinosaurs is a not-for-profit organisation and home to the world’s largest collection of Australian dinosaur fossils, with facilities including the Fossil Preparation Laboratory, Reception Centre and March of the Titanosaurs exhibition at Dinosaur Canyon.
