As Enercon continue to expand the footprint across Australia and the broader APAC region, we are seeking an experienced Regional Engineering Support (RES) Project Engineer to play a key role in supporting strategic projects, customer engagements and business growth initiatives.

About the Role

As a Regional Engineering Support (RES) Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting strategic wind energy projects across Australia and the broader APAC region. Working closely with Sales, Engineering, Product Management and Certification teams, you will help identify technical risks, develop practical solutions and support projects from the bid phase through to contract execution.

This is a highly visible role that combines technical expertise, commercial awareness and stakeholder management, offering the opportunity to contribute to strategic projects and support the growth of renewable energy across the region.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate technical activities across multiple teams to support client projects from tender and bid stage through to contract approval.
- Assess technical risks and identify opportunities to optimise project outcomes.
- Translate technical challenges into engineering, product development, certification or contractual actions.




- Develop technical specifications for product adaptations, new developments and technology improvements.
- Provide technical support during customer meetings, tenders and project discussions.
- Work closely with sales teams to support commercial activities and promote technical solutions.
- Coordinate and facilitate technical project reviews and cross-functional meetings.
- Monitor project progress and ensure risk mitigation actions are implemented effectively.
- Support market-entry initiatives and contribute to strategic decision-making through market intelligence and industry insights.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes, technical documentation and collaboration frameworks.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:
- Engineering qualifications in Mechanical, Electrical, Renewable Energy or a related discipline.
- Significant experience within the wind energy sector.
- Strong understanding of the wind energy market, including customer expectations, regulatory requirements and industry trends.
- Experience working with a wind turbine OEM, major renewable energy developer, EPC contractor or related organisation.
- Proven ability to work across technical and commercial stakeholders.
- Robust project coordination, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation capabilities.




- Ability to identify technical risks and translate them into practical commercial solutions.

Highly Regarded

- Experience within the wind energy sector, particularly in customer-facing, technical, engineering, product management, business development, or project delivery functions.
- Strong understanding of the renewable energy market, including market requirements, customer expectations, industry standards, regulatory frameworks, and emerging trends.
- Established network across the renewable energy industry, including developers, owners, operators, consultants, contractors, suppliers and key industry stakeholders.
- Experience supporting complex bids, tenders, technical proposals, commercial negotiations and strategic customer engagements.
- Knowledge of wind turbine technology, product development, certification processes, technical risk assessment and product adaptation activities.
- Ability to translate technical challenges into practical commercial solutions and successfully influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience working within a global or matrix organisation, collaborating across multiple regions, functions and technical disciplines.
