About the role

Join the Crisis Stabilisation Unit within Metro North Mental Health and be part of a team dedicated to supporting consumers experiencing acute mental health challenges. This role offers the opportunity to deliver recovery-focused, evidence-based nursing care within a specialised mental health service that aims to provide short-term intervention, stabilisation and support during periods of crisis.

Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive assessment, care planning, therapeutic interventions and clinical support to consumers and their families. The role offers variety, autonomy and the opportunity to build advanced mental health nursing skills while contributing to positive recovery outcomes, quality improvement initiatives and contemporary models of care.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

- Apply clinical nursing expertise in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation to deliver high-quality, consumer-centred mental health care.
- Respond appropriately to changes in consumer health status through comprehensive assessment, clinical reasoning and evidence-based intervention.
- Provide education and support to consumers and their families to promote recovery, independence and informed decision-making.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support safe,



coordinated and culturally responsive mental health care.
- Contribute to quality improvement activities, professional development and evidence-based practice initiatives that enhance consumer outcomes and service delivery.
