Join the neonatal team at Blacktown Hospital, where you will contribute to safe, compassionate care for vulnerable newborns and their families. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team in a agile environment where collaboration, family-centred care and professional development are valued.

- Support babies requiring specialised neonatal care in a busy clinical setting
- Work collaboratively with nurses, midwives and other health professionals
- Support and communicate with families during what can be a challenging time
- Contribute to a positive learning environment through mentoring and student supervision
- Be part of a team committed to improving care and health outcomes for newborns

What you'll be doing You will provide individualised, high-quality neonatal nursing care, responding to the changing needs of babies while supporting their families and working within your professional scope of practice.

- Deliver safe, effective and family-centred neonatal care
- Recognise and respond to changes in babies' clinical status and care needs
- Coordinate referrals and support appropriate discharge planning
- Delegate care appropriately and provide supervision and guidance to ENs and students
- Advocate for babies and families while contributing to effective use of resources

- Registration:



Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Selection Criteria

- Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA)
- Current neonatal experience in New Born or Paediatric experience..
- Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work
- Demonstrated evidence of being able to provide person centred care
- Effective interpersonal skills showing initiative and leadership to junior members of the team
- Evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills, and willingness to apply and share professional expertise with colleagues
- Demonstrated effective communication skills- written and verbal
