About the Role: This is a fixed-term position covering maternity leave for up to 11 months. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in supporting the financial and management reporting functions of a national business with 14 depots across Australia. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced workplace, contributing to process improvements, and supporting operational and financial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily accounting tasks, including general ledger entries and record keeping

Reconcile bank statements and ensure the accuracy of financial records

Maintain and organise financial files and documentation

Manage data entry and ensure proper filing of financial information

Assist with month-end close activities and preparation of monthly profit and loss reporting

Assist with balance sheet reconciliations

Respond to and resolve accounts payable queries





Support ad hoc projects and process improvement initiatives

Skills & Experience: To be successful in this role, you will possess:

A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline

CPA qualification (completed or working towards completion)

2-4 years' experience in a similar accounting role

Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

High attention to detail and accuracy

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (advantageous)

Experience working in medium to large organisations, ideally within the transport or logistics industry
