This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in accuracy, organisation, and delivering great service. You'll be responsible for keeping the branch running efficiently from stock and warehouse management through to supporting customers and sales staff with product needs.
Key responsibilities
Manage purchasing requirements for the branch and ensure sufficient stock levels are maintained
Pick and pack customer orders, including preparing courier and transport documentation
Check picked orders, process invoicing, and manage branch transfers
Coordinate branch transfers accurately and efficiently
Adhere to inventory control procedures and warehouse management standards
Maintain shelving, stock presentation, and cleanliness across designated areas
Develop solid relationships with customers and proactively identify their needs
Provide accurate product advice based on customer requirements and specifications
Work closely with Sales Representatives and management to support customer demand
Liaise with Sales and Technical staff to ensure customers receive timely feedback and updates
About you
Previous experience in a warehouse, trade counter, or branch operations role (building/construction industry experience highly regarded)
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment (forklift licence highly desirable)
Good physical fitness whereby the role involves lifting, picking, and packing stock
Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Basic computer literacy for order processing and invoicing systems
