We’re looking for a commercially driven

Sales & Membership Growth Manager

to lead the next stage of growth at our womens only Fernwood Fitness club.

This is not a role for someone who simply wants to manage the day-to-day operation of a gym.

We’re looking for someone who loves a target, understands how to turn enquiries into members, knows how to coach a team to perform, and understands that real growth comes from both

winning new members and keeping the members we already have .

What you’ll own Membership growth You’ll be accountable for growing our active membership base and driving consistent net member growth.

You’ll manage the sales pipeline from first enquiry through to appointment, club tour, follow-up and membership conversion.

You won’t just manage sales from a spreadsheet — we want a leader who is comfortable getting involved, speaking with prospects and

selling from the front .

Sales performance You’ll know your numbers.

Leads. Appointments. Show rates. Conversion. Follow-up. New memberships. Cancellations. Saves. Net growth.

You’ll use those numbers to identify opportunities, coach the team and keep everyone focused on the actions that drive results.

Member retention Getting someone to join is only the beginning.

You’ll work with the team to create a club experience that makes members want to stay, identify members at risk of leaving and actively manage cancellation saves and retention initiatives.

Team leadership You’ll set clear expectations, coach the team,



celebrate wins and help people become more confident at having sales conversations.

We’re looking for someone who can create accountability without losing the supportive culture that makes Fernwood special.

Member reviews and advocacy Happy members are one of our strongest marketing tools.

You’ll build simple processes to encourage member feedback, generate genuine club reviews and turn great member experiences into stories that help other women take their first step.

Social media content You don’t need to be a professional content creator.

But you do need to be comfortable picking up a phone and capturing what makes the club outstanding — member success, community, events, staff, training and everyday moments inside the club.

The goal is simple: show prospective members what it feels like to be part of our community.

Who we're looking for You might already work in fitness — but you don't have to.

We’re more interested in your ability to

sell, lead and deliver results .

You may come from fitness, health and wellness, membership sales, recruitment, real estate, automotive, telecommunications, high-performing retail or another target-driven sales environment.

What matters is that you can demonstrate:





A strong track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets

Confidence converting leads into customers or members

Excellent follow-up and pipeline management

The ability to coach and motivate a team

Strong commercial awareness and comfort working with KPIs

A genuine interest in member experience and retention

Confidence communicating with people from all walks of life

Initiative, energy and personal accountability

Comfort creating simple, authentic social media content

A desire to make a measurable difference to the performance of the club
