The Firm & Opportunity

An established and growing boutique accounting firm on Brisbane's city fringe is seeking an experienced Associate Director to join its leadership team.

n

With approximately 12 staff and two hands-on Partners, the firm offers a collaborative, flat structure where senior team members work closely with both the Partners and clients. The practice has a sophisticated client base, with a strong concentration of medical professionals and HNW clients, together with multi-entity groups, SMEs and other privately owned businesses.

This is a genuine succession opportunity,



with a clear pathway to Partnership and equity ownership within approximately 12–24 months, potentially sooner for the right candidate. At Partner level, you would ultimately take responsibility for a fee base of approximately $1 million.

n

The role is approximately 80% review and advisory and 20% hands-on compliance, with a strong focus on client relationships, high-level advisory, team development and workflow management.

The Role

n

n
- Manage and develop a portfolio of business and private clients
n
- Provide high-level tax planning, structuring and business advisory services
n
- Work directly with the Partners on complex and strategic client matters
n
- Build strong relationships and act as a trusted adviser to clients
n
- Review Financial Statements, Income Tax Returns, and other compliance work
n
- Mentor, train, and develop accounting staff
n
- Manage workflow, deadlines, and team resourcing
n
- Contribute to the continued growth and development of the practice
n

About You

n

You will be an experienced Senior Manager or Associate Director with robust technical capability, commercial acumen, and the confidence to manage senior client relationships.

n

Ideally, you will have:

n

n
- CA or CPA qualification
n
- Significant Australian public practice experience
n
- Strong Tax & Business Services technical knowledge
n
- Experience managing complex client groups and senior client relationships
n
- Strong tax planning, structuring, and advisory capability
n
- Experience reviewing work, managing workflow, and developing staff
n
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
n
- A proactive, commercial, and collaborative approach
