Key Responsibilities
Working closely with the CEO and Management Team, you will:
- Conduct Individual Risk Assessments
- Develop Care Plans
- Train staff in:
- Urinary Catheter Management
- Enteral Feeding Management
- Seizure Management
- Diabetes Management
- Meal Preparation Planning and Delivery
- Pressure Care and Wound Management
- Act as a member of the Client Support Team to help clients achieve positive goals and outcomes
- Provide medical support to SIL houses or clients' homes as required
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Bachelor of Nursing degree
- Minimum 5 years' solid experience in hospital settings
- Experience with an Accredited NDIS Provider and/or Aged Care highly regarded
- Demonstrated experience training staff and developing Care Plans (catheter, seizure, wound, and diabetes management) and conducting Individual Risk Assessments
- Basic knowledge of administrative practices relevant to the workplace
- Practical understanding of Occupational Health and Safety practices
- Awareness of the Disability Services Standards and Victorian Disability Act 2006
- Willingness to build knowledge of NDIS workplace functions and operations
Required Experience (minimum 3 years each, unless noted):
- Complex Bowel Care
- Enteral Feeding Support
- Dysphagia Support
- Ventilator Support
- Urinary Catheter Support
- Subcutaneous Injections
- Complex Wound Care Support
- Registered Nurse experience (5 years)
Licensing/Certification
- Current AHPRA Registration (Required)
