Integrative Wellness Studio is a modern and highly regarded health and wellness clinic located in Zuccoli, NT, serving clients from across the Darwin and Palmerston region.

We are dedicated to providing a range of allied health and wellness services tailored to our clients’ individual needs. Our services include remedial massage, relaxation massage, pregnancy massage, aromatherapy, reflexology, sports massage, dry needling, cupping, assisted stretching, facials and other complementary treatment techniques.

Led by our owner and senior therapist Lisa, our clinic benefits from extensive clinical experience, training expertise and strong industry connections. Lisa is an RTO Trainer and Assessor, an MMA NT Ambassador, and a highly regarded professional within Darwin’s health community.

We have built trusted referral relationships with local GPs, physiotherapists, allied health practitioners and medical specialists, giving our therapists the opportunity to grow clinically while building a strong and sustainable client base.

About the Role

Integrative Wellness Studio is seeking a passionate and motivated Remedial Massage Therapist to join our growing clinic.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building long-term relationships with clients and providing high-quality treatment to improve movement, reduce pain, support recovery and promote overall wellbeing.

The role involves delivering professional remedial and relaxation massage, assessing and treating soft tissue and musculoskeletal conditions, and applying appropriate treatment techniques to support recovery, enhance performance and relieve stress.

You will also provide clients with rehabilitation advice, stretching guidance, self-management strategies and relaxation techniques to support their long-term health and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

- Interview and consult with clients to understand their health conditions, medical history,



lifestyle factors and individual treatment needs before providing massage therapy.
- Conduct appropriate physical and functional assessments and identify areas of muscular tension, soft tissue dysfunction or musculoskeletal restriction.
- Design and implement individualised therapy and treatment plans based on each client’s needs and treatment goals.
- Assess and treat specific soft tissue and musculoskeletal dysfunction and provide appropriate professional advice.
- Deliver high-quality remedial massage treatments using evidence-based and appropriate manual therapy techniques.
- Perform a range of massage therapies, which may include remedial massage, relaxation massage, deep tissue massage, Swedish massage, sports massage, pregnancy massage, reflexology, hot stone massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, Traditional Chinese Massage techniques and other appropriate massage variations within the therapist’s qualifications and scope of practice.
- Apply sports massage techniques based on the client’s specific sporting activity or recovery needs. Treatments may include remedial massage, deep tissue therapy, cross-fibre techniques, trigger point therapy and other appropriate techniques.
- Apply treatment techniques to help reduce pain, improve mobility, support rehabilitation, enhance recovery, relieve muscular tension and promote overall wellbeing.
- Monitor client progress and modify treatment plans where appropriate to achieve the best possible treatment outcomes.
- Provide clients with suitable recommendations regarding posture, ergonomics, stretching exercises, home exercises, self-management strategies and relaxation techniques.
- Educate clients on strategies they can use between appointments to support recovery and maintain long-term wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate and professional clinical records, treatment notes and SOAP documentation.
- Maintain appropriate professional, ethical, hygiene and infection-control standards.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the clinic team and contribute to a positive and supportive workplace culture.




- Participate in ongoing professional development and maintain skills and knowledge relevant to the role.

Qualifications and Experience A Diploma of Remedial Massage or recognised equivalent is highly preferred. However, applicants with a relevant massage therapy, health, wellness or related educational background may also be considered, depending on their qualifications, experience and suitability for the role.

Applicants who do not currently hold a Diploma of Remedial Massage may still be considered where an appropriate employment, training or development pathway is available.

At least 1 year of relevant industry experience is preferred.

Selection Criteria

- Diploma of Remedial Massage or recognised equivalent highly preferred.
- Applicants with other relevant education, qualifications or industry backgrounds may also be considered.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
- Strong practical massage and manual therapy skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build strong therapeutic relationships with clients.

Professional Requirements Where applicable to the applicant’s qualifications and role:
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Professional Association Membership, such as MMA, ANTA, ATMS or another recognised professional association.
- Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance.
- Eligibility for health fund provider recognition where relevant.
