Merriwa, WA raafa are seeking an experienced and passionate Residential Aged Care Manager to join our Vivian Bullwinkel Lodge in Merriwa. In this role you will maintain the culture of excellence this team of residential care staff have established, achieving optimum service delivery. Working closely with both our senior leadership team will be responsible for ensuring staffing, occupancy and care funding targets are achieved, while leading an established team of professionals making a real difference in their community.

The role:

- Manage and support residential care staff to deliver person centred services across high care and dementia areas, ensuring quality and consistency in line with Aged Care Standards.
- Monitor staffing, occupancy, and care funding targets, ensuring financial sustainability and effective resource use.
- Oversee care models, handle complaints professionally,



and contribute to operational plans aligned with raafa’s strategic objectives.
- Work in partnership with the General Manager - Residential Care Performance and the General Manager – Residential Care Operations to ensure all aspects of the budget are monitored.
- Partner with the General Manager - Residential Care Performance and the General Manager – Residential Care Operations on budgets and build external networks to promote raafa services and identify opportunities for growth.
- Foster a customer-driven approach to all aspects of care that promotes resident clinical and emotional wellbeing and quality of life.
- Take on the responsibility of communicating with residents, relatives, staff and community.
- Respond to and ensure complaints are handled in a professional, timely and effective manner to ensure a satisfactory resolution.
- Responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for staff and residents alike.

About you:

- Proven management experience in aged care or health
- Commitment to raafa’s values
- Clinical knowledge and skills (AHPRA registration preferred)
- Confidence in managing budgets, occupancy, and care funding targets
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills with residents, families, and staff
- Ability to work independently, manage change, and support organisational objectives
- Versatile, solutions focused approach with strong problem solving skills
- Understanding of Aged Care Standards and compliance requirements
- Solid organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively




- Computer literacy across Word, Excel, and presentation tools.

This role will see you manage our Vivian Bullwinkel Lodge. The Vivian Bullwinkel Lodge was opened in late 2007, situated in 85 Hester Avenue. Even though it is the smaller facility out of the two with 79 beds, the lodge still offers the same amount of care and services with permanent and respite care.
