About the role

Elphinstone is seeking a highly organised and motivated Resource Planner to join our team based at our Wivenhoe facility. This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in ensuring materials, parts and supplier relationships are effectively managed to support our production operations and business objectives.

Working closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, you will help maintain supply continuity, optimise inventory levels and support production schedules in a quick-paced manufacturing environment

Key responsibilities

- Build and maintain strong working relationships with assigned suppliers
- Purchase parts and materials to meet production and part sales requirements
- Source and evaluate supplier quotes
- Plan materials for Elphinstone products in line with the MRP and production schedules
- Engage new suppliers and ensure they are correctly established in MRP, including required supply agreements
- Review and negotiate supplier costs and lead times and identify alternative suppliers where needed to maintain competitive costs and reliable supply
- Maintain accurate purchasing data in the MRP to support effective and efficient purchasing
- Work with internal stakeholders to evaluate consumable and tool requirements and support production needs

About you

- Experience in purchasing, inventory, logistics and MRP/ERP systems and processes
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Strong communication, customer service and people skills
- Strong planning, organising and time management skills




- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
- Strong attention to detail and an analytical approach
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a practical and timely manner
- Ability to anticipate issues, develop solutions and follow them through to resolution
- Ability to work effectively with people at all levels and as part of a team
- Manufacturing experience would be an advantage
