GMGP Retail Sales Assistant – Carlingford & Sydney Locations
GMGP – Good Meat Good People is looking for friendly, reliable and confident Retail Sales Assistants to join our team.
GMGP specialises in premium Australian Wagyu, Korean BBQ cuts and marinated meats, with retail locations across Sydney.
This position is primarily for our Carlingford Court location, however applicants who prefer to work at Chatswood Westfield or Hurstville Westfield are also welcome to apply.

This is a customer-facing sales role, so applicants must be able to communicate confidently with customers in both English and Chinese.
Please only apply if you meet the following requirements:
- Confident communication in both English and Chinese
- Chinese speaking ability in Mandarin and/or Cantonese
- Available to work at least 3 days per week
- Available for approximately 15 hours or more per week
- Valid Australian working rights

About the Role
As a Retail Sales Assistant, you will work directly with customers at our GMGP kiosk, helping them choose the right products and providing information about our Wagyu, Korean BBQ cuts and marinated meats.
Previous meat or Korean BBQ knowledge is not required. Full product and sales training will be provided.
What matters most to us is that you are friendly, reliable,
confident when speaking with customers and willing to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide friendly and professional customer service
- Recommend products based on customer needs
- Explain our Wagyu, Korean BBQ cuts and marinated products
- Operate the POS system and process payments
- Maintain clean, organised and well-stocked product displays
- Restock products throughout the day
- Assist with opening and closing duties
- Support product tasting and promotional events when required
- Work together with the team during busy trading periods
Essential Requirements
- Must be able to communicate confidently in both English and Chinese
- Mandarin and/or Cantonese speaking ability
- Available to work at least 3 days per week
- Approximately 15 hours availability per week
- Friendly and confident when speaking with customers
- Reliable and punctual
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Comfortable working in a busy retail setting
- Able to work well as part of a team
- Must have valid Australian working rights
Experience
Previous experience in retail, customer service, hospitality or sales is preferred but not essential.
If you have the right attitude and strong communication skills, we are happy to provide full training.
Experience with meat, Korean BBQ or Asian grocery retail would be an advantage, but is not required.
