Senior Health & Safety Advisor - North Shore

The Company:

A progressive property development and construction company, this Sydney-based business is known for delivering high-quality residential and mixed-use projects.

With a growing portfolio across co-living, student accommodation and build-to-rent developments, they are now looking for an experienced HSE Advisor to join the team and support a number of high-end projects across Sydney.

You’ll be working closely with one of Australia’s highly regarded HSE Managers, giving you the opportunity to be part of a growing business and play a key role in developing their HSE function.

This is something a little different in the Sydney market - an opportunity to be part of something current, exciting and growing from the ground up.

Responsibilities:

- Provide day-to-day HSE support across active construction projects
- Build strong relationships with employees, subcontractors and key stakeholders
- Manage and develop HSE processes and initiatives across projects




- Assist with incident investigations, reporting and corrective actions
- Provide guidance and support around HSE legislation and compliance
- Maintain a strong understanding of Australian Standards and applicable legislation
- Promote a positive and proactive HSE culture across the project

About You:

- Minimum Cert IV in WHS/OH&S;
- 3+ years’ experience in an HSE role within the Class 2 / residential construction space
- Commercial new build experience will also be considered
- Previous experience working for a head contractor is essential
- Strong understanding of current WHS/OH&S; legislation and Australian Standards
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Confident dealing with site teams, subcontractors and management
- Professional and presentable
- Someone who is proactive, approachable and willing to take ownership
