We are seeking experienced Emergency Registered Nurses to join busy and supportive rural and regional EDs across Far North Queensland.

Tully Hospital

n

A small but vital rural ED supporting remote communities south of Cairns.

n

n
- 4-bed ED within a 20-bed facility
n
- Diverse presentations including trauma, medical, paediatrics & aged care
n
- Close-knit team with robust autonomy required
n
- Lifestyle: Rainforests, waterfalls, Mission Beach, hiking, swimming holes and tropical escapes
n

n

Mossman Hospital

n

A busy rural ED with strong flow and 24/7 medical cover.

n

n
- 10-bed ED (approx. 50 presentations/day) + acute ward
n
- Fast-paced environment requiring strong ED capability
n
- Lifestyle: Mossman Gorge, Daintree Rainforest, Cape Tribulation, Port Douglas, reef access and river fishing

Atherton Hospital

- 24/7 ED within a 56-bed facility
n
- Broad mix of trauma, medical, paediatrics & mental health

- 6 treatment spaces incl. resus bays

Small rural ED with high autonomy and diverse emergency presentations.

- In-charge capability required
n
- Strong focus on assessment, triage & resus care

- 24-hour ED with broad acute presentations

- Strong focus on assessment, coordination & emergency response

Skills & Experience Required

n

n
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
n
- Strong Emergency Department experience (rural/regional highly regarded)
n
- Mandatory: ALS, triage competency, iEMR QLD training, FirstNet training
n
- Confident in resuscitation, acute assessment & deteriorating patient management
n
- Ability to work autonomously in rural and remote settings
n
- Excellent communication and teamwork in fast-paced environments
n
