A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Building Certifier or Building Surveyor to join a growing team servicing the residential construction market across Brisbane and South East Queensland.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Building Certifier looking for their next move, or a Building Surveyor who is looking to progress into certification and build their career within the private certification space.

n

You'll work across a strong pipeline of residential projects, providing technical advice, completing inspections and managing projects through the certification process from application through to completion.

n

You'll also have the support, systems and resources around you to allow you to focus on the technical side of the role rather than being bogged down in administration.

The Role

n

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Assessing residential building applications against relevant Queensland legislation and the NCC
n
- Conducting building inspections across Brisbane and surrounding areas
n
- Managing projects from initial application through to final certification
n
- Preparing and issuing relevant building approvals and certificates
n
- Providing technical building compliance advice to builders, designers and clients
n
- Reviewing plans, documentation and building work for compliance
n
- Liaising with builders, engineers, architects and other key stakeholders
n
- Identifying and resolving compliance issues throughout the construction process
n
- Maintaining accurate project documentation and records
n
- Contributing to the ongoing improvement of systems and processes
n

What We're Looking For

You could be:

n

n
- An experienced Building Certifier with current QBCC registration looking for a new opportunity
n
- A Building Surveyor with relevant qualifications and experience who is looking to transition into private certification
n
- A construction professional with solid technical/building knowledge who has the qualifications and eligibility to work towards Building Certifier registration
n

n

Ideally, you'll have:

n

n
- Relevant qualifications in Building Surveying, Construction Management, Building or a related discipline
n
- Current QBCC Building Certifier registration or eligibility/pathway to obtain registration
n
- Solid understanding of the NCC and Queensland building legislation
n
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability
n
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
n
- The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
n
- A current driver's licence
n
