This is a seat for someone who can get on a machine and be productive from day one — clean, accurate work, good machine awareness, and the judgement to know when to stop and ask.

Because this site also needs product moved and loaded, we need someone who holds a current LF forklift licence alongside their excavator ticket.

What you'll be doing

n

n
- Operating excavator [<10 Tonne]
n
- Trenching, using hammer and buckets
n
- Working around underground services — locating, potholing and working safely to DBYD plans
n
- Working with spotters, dogmen and ground crew, and communicating clearly on site
n
- Changing and running attachments — buckets, tilt bucket, auger, rock breaker, grab [ADJUST]
n
- Loading and unloading trucks and moving materials around site on the forklift
n
- Daily pre-starts, greasing,



fault reporting and basic machine maintenance

- Keeping the site tidy, secure and compliant — JSAs, SWMS, toolbox talks
n

What you'll need

n

n
- Proven excavator experience
n
- Excavator competency — RII unit (e.g. RIIMPO320F) or a current VOC / ticket we can sight
n
- Current LF forklift High Risk Work Licence
n
- Current White Card
n
- Confident working to levels, marks and plans
n
- Good machine sympathy — you look after the gear
n
- Full working rights in Australia
n
- Own reliable transport and the ability to get to site for a 5:30am start
n

A bonus, not essential:

- Other tickets — LO (order picker), skid steer, roller, dozer, telehandler, MR/HR
n
- Dogging or traffic control ticket
n
- Experience with GPS machine control / 2D or 3D systems
n
- Service locating, drainage, sewer or water experience
n
- Confined space, working at heights, or first aid
n
