Sales Representative – Injection Moulding | Queensland Plastics
Build something from the ground up. Develop new business. Grow with us.
Queensland Plastics, part of the Bradnam’s Group, is looking for a commercially driven Sales Representative to join our team in Banyo, Brisbane. This is a newly created opportunity for someone who enjoys winning new business, building robust customer relationships, and turning opportunities into long-term partnerships.
With expertise in injection moulding and plastics manufacturing, Queensland Plastics works with manufacturers, product developers, engineers and procurement teams to deliver reliable, cost-effective and scalable manufacturing solutions.
As we continue to grow, we’re looking for someone who can help us identify new markets, open doors with new customers, and build a strong, sustainable sales pipeline.
About the Role
Reporting to the business leadership team, you’ll take ownership of developing new business opportunities across the injection moulding and plastics manufacturing market. You’ll be responsible for identifying prospective customers, understanding their needs, developing solutions with our internal technical teams, and taking opportunities from initial conversation through to conversion.
This is a hands-on business development role where your ability to build relationships, prospect and create opportunities will have a direct impact on the growth of the business.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and develop new customer and market opportunities across injection moulding and plastics manufacturing.
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of qualified sales opportunities.
- Develop relationships with manufacturers, engineers, procurement teams, product developers and business owners.
- Undertake proactive business development through phone, email, LinkedIn, networking and face-to-face customer visits.
- Research and identify new industries and customer segments with potential for Queensland Plastics.
- Understand customer requirements and work with estimating, engineering, production and quality teams to develop commercially viable solutions.
- Coordinate quotations and proactively manage opportunities through to conversion.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to help shape future growth strategies.
- Develop a repeatable and scalable approach to new business development.
About You We’re looking for someone who is commercially minded, proactive and confident creating opportunities rather than waiting for them to come to you.
You’ll ideally bring:
- Experience in B2B sales, business development or manufacturing sales.
- A demonstrated ability to identify, develop and convert new business opportunities.
- Strong prospecting, networking and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- A results-focused and commercially aware mindset.
- The ability to independently manage a sales pipeline and prioritise opportunities.
- Confidence engaging with technical and commercial stakeholders at different levels.
- Experience in plastics, injection moulding, manufacturing, engineering or a related technical industry will be highly regarded.
Most importantly, you’ll be someone who enjoys building relationships, opening new doors and creating opportunities for growth. What Success Looks Like In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to make a tangible impact. Success will include:
- Building a strong and sustainable new-business pipeline.
- Generating and converting new customer opportunities.
- Establishing long-term customer partnerships.
- Growing revenue across new markets and customer segments.
- Helping Queensland Plastics establish a scalable and sustainable business development function.
Why Queensland Plastics? You’ll be joining a growing manufacturing business backed by the broader Bradnam’s Group, an Australian-owned family business with a long history in manufacturing. This is a newly created position, meaning you’ll have the opportunity to shape the role, develop new markets and make your mark on the future growth of Queensland Plastics.
If you’re a motivated B2B sales professional who enjoys the challenge of finding new opportunities and turning them into lasting customer relationships, we’d love to hear from you.
