Nanny / Mother's Helper Wanted – Albert Park 2027

We are a warm and busy family in Albert Park looking for an experienced nanny/mother's helper to join us from late January/ February 2027.

This role would suit someone who is finishing with their current family at the end of the year and is looking for a long-term position with a caring household.

n

We're starting our hunt early knowing we want to take our time in finding the right fit for our family, so seeking some expressions of interest.

n

We are looking for someone caring, proactive, calm, and confident with newborns and young children. Mum works from home part‐time, attends appointments, and runs errands, so the role will be a mix of hands‐on childcare and helping keep the household running smoothly.

We will have 3 children, who at the time will be:

- Boy, 3 years (attending a mix of daycare and kindergarten)
n
- Girl, 18 months (attending daycare 2 days per week)
n
- Baby girl, 3 months
n

n

Role Includes:

n

n
- Caring for 1–2 children at a time for most shifts
n
- Minimal times when caring for all 3 children together
n
- Newborn feeding, settling, and nap routines
n




- Engaging play and age‐appropriate activities
n
- Light household duties including:n n
- Folding washing
n
- Keeping living areas tidy
n
- Kids meal prep
n
- Occasional family meal preparation
n
- Bonus if you enjoy baking!

Hours:

n

n
- 4 shifts per week
n
- 3–5 hours per shift (totalling approx 16 hours per week)
n
- Between 8am–6pm
n
- Consistent days each week, with shift times varying as kinder and nap schedules evolve
n
- Roster always provided at least 2 weeks in advance
n
- Chance for additional evening and weekend hours if desired
n

Pay & Requirements:

n

- Pay up to $45 per hour depending on experience
n
- Payment via nanny payroll app
n
- Childcare, nursing, or midwifery background highly regarded
n
- Must be experienced and confident caring for newborns
n
- All relevant checks required and must be provided (including Working With Children Check, Police Check, references, etc.)
n

We'd love someone who is organised, reliable, warm, and comfortable around dogs – we have a friendly family dog!
