About the Role
We’re looking for a passionate and reliable Wellbeing Assistant to support our residents through engaging lifestyle, social and recreational activities.
You’ll help create experiences that reflect residents’ interests, abilities and choices, while supporting their independence, dignity and quality of life.
You’ll be part of an established and supportive Wellbeing team, working closely with our Care team to create a warm, engaging workplace for our residents.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver engaging lifestyle,
wellbeing and recreational activities
- Build meaningful relationships with residents and encourage participation
- Support individual and group activities based on residents’ interests
- Promote social connection, independence and wellbeing
- Support residents living with dementia and cognitive impairment
- Document participation and resident responses
- Work collaboratively with the Wellbeing and Care teams
- Help create a safe, positive and welcoming environment
About You
You’ll bring:
- Certificate III or IV in Leisure & Health – essential
- At least 1 year’s aged care experience – essential
- A genuine passion for working with older Australians
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive, enthusiastic and adaptable approach
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Understanding of person-centred care and resident choice
