Jaros Engineering is an Australian manufacturing company leading in precision machine engineering with more than 30 yars experience in servicing the mining and drilling industries.

We are looking for a Metal Machinist / First Class Machinist to perform the following:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Machine Operation: Set up and operate metalworking machines such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC machines to machine metal parts.
2. Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to understand the required dimensions, tolerances, and specifications for the metal parts.
3. Tool Setup: Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machine attachments and set them up on the machines for each job.
4. Material Preparation: Load metal stock onto machines and position it correctly for machining operations.
5. Machining Processes: Perform cutting, shaping, drilling,



and finishing operations on metal parts using appropriate machining techniques and processes.
6. Quality Control: Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as callipers, micrometres, and gauges to ensure they meet the specified dimensions and quality standards.
7. Machine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn-out parts to ensure optimal performance and minimise downtime.
8. Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a protected working environment and prevent accidents or injuries.
9. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production activities, including the number of parts produced, machine settings, and any issues encountered during machining.
