HYPAR Residential Care is looking for experienced, qualified Youth Workers to join our teams across Moreton Bay and Ipswich.

n

You'll support young people in residential care who may have experienced significant trauma, instability and complex behaviours, helping create a home environment that is safe, therapeutic, stable and predictable.

About the role

n

- Build genuine, professional relationships with young people
n
- Support routines, emotional regulation, life skills and personal goals
n
- Plan and participate in activities and community experiences
n
- Respond calmly and professionally to complex behaviours
n
- Support health, wellbeing and positive lifestyle choices
n
- Assist with cooking, shopping, cleaning, laundry and other household tasks
n
- Complete case notes, incident reports and required documentation
n
- Work collaboratively with your house team and leadership
n

About you

n

n
- A Certificate IV or higher in Child, Youth & Family Intervention or a relevant qualification
n
- Previous experience working with young people and/or complex support environments
n
- Solid professional boundaries and emotional intelligence
n




- The ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
n
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
n
- A genuine understanding of trauma-informed and therapeutic practice
n
- The reliability and flexibility required for 24/7 residential care
n
- Most importantly, you need to be someone who can keep showing up.
n

The roster

n

Residential care operates 24/7. You must be available to work a minimum of 4 sleepovers per week.

n

- Certificate IV or above in Child, Youth & Family Intervention or relevant qualification
n
- Paid Blue Card, or willingness to obtain
n
- Paid NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain
n
- Willingness to obtain Child Safety LCS2 screening
n
- Open Queensland Driver Licence
n
- Reliable Apple or Android smartphone
n
