MECHANICAL TRADE (FIXED PLANT TECHNICIAN / FITTER)

Salary: AUD $110,000 per annum + superannuation on ordinary hours (38 hours per week). This is a full time and permanent position.

ALWAYSGOOD Engineering is seeking experienced Mechanical Trade – Fixed Plant Technicians/Fitters to join our team and work on mining and industrial projects across Australia.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

- Extensive experience as a Fixed Plant Technician/Mechanical Fitter
- Minimum 10 years' experience in the mining industry
- Hold a recognised Australian Mechanical Trade Certificate/Qualification
- Demonstrated experience with fixed plant, mining equipment and heavy industrial machinery
- Strong mechanical maintenance, inspection and fault-finding skills
- Experience with preventative and breakdown maintenance
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&ID;
- Strong knowledge of mining safety and WHS requirements
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong commitment to safety, quality and reliability
- Ability to satisfy applicable site medical, drug and alcohol screening and induction requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Preventative and scheduled maintenance of fixed plant
- Mechanical breakdown maintenance and repairs
- Inspection, servicing and maintenance of mining equipment
- Installation, removal and replacement of mechanical components
- Mechanical equipment alignment
- Fault finding and troubleshooting
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings




- Carrying out maintenance in accordance with site procedures and engineering specifications
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records
- Complying with all WHS, environmental and site safety requirements
